Thankfulness & Grace Space
God has a funny way of bringing people together.
Awhile back I posted about creating my “Ebenezer Board” which is about remembering God’s faithfulness in my life by physically keeping pictures of His goodness and provision as part of my living room decor. Since that post many months ago, my board continues to fill up with answered prayer, unexpected blessings, and even simple joys.
We are often reminded to be thankful around Thanksgiving or Christmas, but our souls desperately need to rest in a gratitude that isn’t seasonal. Thankfulness shouldn’t be something that is whisked off the merchandise shelves to make room for Valentine’s Day candy- it should be a staple like flour, milk and eggs. (Or your dietary equivalent! 😉
My board has helped keep thankfulness as somewhat of a treasure hunt for me. If I go too long without posting a new picture of God’s goodness to me, I find a moment to slow my heart and intentionally remember all that He has done. A family reunion. A job opportunity. A published book. The joy of speaking at a conference alongside my beautiful great Aunts.
And today…I’m thankful for a connection God birthed through that very Ebenezer blog post.
Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Alexandra Kaval of Grace Space Christian Coaching. Alexandra “happened” to be looking up ideas for prayer or gratitude boards and stumbled onto my post. Not incidentally, she found my page right after I posted about my new journey with a life coach. (More information on my local CT life coach to come!!*)
I’m grateful to Alexandra for posting on my site and breaking down what it actually is that Christian Life Coaching can offer you. For many of us who are unfamiliar with life coaching, we might be tempted to pass it by assuming it isn’t for “someone like us.” But Alexandra makes it clear that Christian life coaching is really about having someone to listen to you and help guide you towards your identity in Christ and to help you create action steps out of the vision He is putting on your life right now.
Life coaching can help you overcome fear and obstacles, learn to rest or step out in new seasons, how to find clarity of God’s heart for your life, identify things in your life that need to change/ you want to be different, and more.
In listening to Alexandra, her heart is absolutely to serve and love women around her. In her words and her website she seeks to create a non-judgmental environment where we can meet the Holy Spirit and get support for our journey with God. Her own journey to becoming a life coach is both a point of connection with others wondering where their life is going, and a testimony to the power of walking out who God has uniquely called you to be.
One thing I love about Alexandra is that she offers free 30 minute clarity calls for those who aren’t really sure what they need to work on. This call helps you identify one issue in your life that you can focus on and gives an action strategy out of that conversation. THEN you can sign up for her variety of session packages if you feel you need more support and she’s a good fit for you!
I wanted to share her website with you all TODAY because she will be offering a Black Friday special that is exclusively available to those who subscribe to her email list. So if you check out her website and are interested at all, I hope you’ll subscribe and check out her surprise offer. (Here’s her website one more time: Grace Space Christian Coaching)
Though I’m not currently working with Alexandra, I found her to a breath of fresh air and know that she would be a huge benefit if you need practical help to walk out God’s heart. If you have any questions about her, I’d love to answer what I can or connect you directly to Alexandra to find out more!
Are you feeling like you have a calling on your life but you’re not quite sure how to get there? Do you feel like there is fear or barriers that you have no idea how to overcome? Are you looking for some clarity or action steps to live more intentionally? Don’t be afraid to seek help. Whether that is coaching, counseling, a support group, a church, or coffee with a really good friend.
God has plans for you that He has written before you were born and in His vast mercy He allows each of us to be part of His grand narrative for such a time as this. Let’s be a bold generation that never stops seeking God’s face and taking steps of obedience into His plan and purpose for us and our world.
For everyone who has spoken into my life and helped me understand God’s heart, call, and love for me…THANK YOU. You are part of the gratitude board of my heart.
(*AND like I said, I hope you’ll stay tuned to hear more of my personal journey with my CT life coach, Courtney Spencer, who is an absolutely amazing resource as well. I freely recommend both of them because they each come at life coaching with their own unique perspective and gifts, and my heart is to connect people with the exact resource they need in their life for this season.)
It sounds like you are describing a mentor, who comes alongside you and helps you do what you are called to do. That is wonderful! The board you have for remembering the blessings is inspiring.
The picture of you with your great-aunts is lovely! I have some of the books from some of them, that I have had for years, and love them. I think it was Mrs. Jessie Rice Sandberg who wrote “With Love and a Pinch of Salt” which is one of my favorites. I also have “Beautiful for Thee” from the 1970’s which has a compilation of many authors from a women’s conference. I love that book, and still recommend it to others.
God bless you! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
